Sportswear International.
Task - Audit Health and Safety procedures to ensure compliance which resulted in me preparing and completing the following;
- Directors Statement on Health and Safety to be placed on the company notice board covering the steps that would be taken to protect the health, safety and welfare of staff
- Health and Safety Policy Statement detailing how and who would be managing health and safety with a personal copy for each staff member
- Driving Policy including a risk assessment form
- Fire Evacuation Procedures for all staff and advice on providing an alternative means of escape for the office staff
- Policy statement and risk assessment form for staff who worked away from the office e.g. home workers, sales staff etc
- Policy statement on the employment of Young Workers i.e. those under 18 and the necessary risk assessment process
- Risk Assessment for the Warehouse including the management and control of transport i.e. the fork lift trucks
- Recommendations on managing the flow of transport and use of lifting equipment more safely when staff and transport have to work together
- Health and Safety schedule which listed all the H&S legislation appropriate to the company and the requirements of each piece of legislation
